Archway RV Park – A Conveniently Located Illinois RV Park

Archway RV Park

Archway RV Park is located at 4810 Broadway St. in Mt. Vernon, IL.

This EZ-ON, EZ-OFF campground is good place to get off the busy I-57 and rest your wheels for an overnight.

It is located at exit 95 off the I-57. It’s not a fancy RV park and doesn’t have a ton of amenities.

But it’s a super place to stop for the night because of its close proximity to many things that may be important on your travels.

First of all it is located less than 3/4 mile off the major route. So it has easy access for both entry and exit from I-57.

Archway RV Park Features

There are 42 drive-through sites in the park with full hookups, which included 50 amp electric.

For the most part, most of these sites are fairly level too. In fact, we did not have to put our jacks down on the site we were given.

But if you did need to level out, you would find that it would not take much to level even a large rig.

And the pull-through sites are long enough to even leave your towed vehicle attached if you want to. We love that!

So we left our car attached and found it very convenient to be able to walk to get a bite at a local restaurant.

Archway RV Park – Conveniently Located

One of the best features about this park is it is at a very easy location to get around.

In fact, less than a few hundred feet down the road from the park is a Walmart Supercenter if you need to get any provisions.

There are also 3 large nearby fueling stations in the area so you can refuel even a large rig. And we made good use of one of them before we got back on the highway.

There are also many of the large chain stores and restaurants in the area if you want to take advantage of them as well.

The park itself could use a little updating, but it was clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating.

There was a playground for the kids and a nice dog run. And in the back of the property there was a pretty pond to walk down to and enjoy if you wanted a little quiet time.

Connectivity to the park’s free wifi was the best if you were close to the main building. But our phones did well with T-Mobile coverage.

And our internet connectivity through our AT&T hotspot worked well in this location too.

So really, everything worked very smoothly for a pleasant overnight stay at this small but convenient RV park.

Our Conclusion

How would we rate this park? We would probably give it a 4.5 rating overall.

A 4 for the park itself because it could use a bit of updating, but a 5 for the surrounding area. This is mainly because of the convenient proximity to two major highways, I-57 and I-64.

And because of the convenience to many stores that you may be looking forward to being nearby to restock needed items in your travels.

Putting this all together, we really did enjoy our brief stay at Archway RV Park.
